Infanion launches Trashap, a free app to locate trash
News
India and many other countries are facing a serious problem with trash .... There is trash in the streets, the cities and neighbourhoods, the forest, the rivers and lakes, … Trash is everywhere. With Trashap everyone can help creating awareness about this trash problem by locating trash. Knowing and recognizing a problem is the first step to solve the problem.
Venkat Valluri, Social Media Expert of Infanion explains:
“It is actually very simple. With Trashap you can take pictures of trash in your street, neighbourhood, city … We call a picture of trash a ‘trashie’, like a selfie, but this time of trash.
When you take a trashie, Trashap will automatically add the GPS location to your trashie and will show it on a map. This way we make the trash problem visible. If many people take trashies of trash in their neighbourhood, it will become clear how big the trash problem is and we can raise a serious appeal to citizens, governments, politicians to really do something about this trash problem.
And nice to know is that we also added a fun factor to Trashap. The more trashies you take, the higher your ranking in the app will be. You start as a Trash Squire and you can raise to a Trash King or Trash Queen.”
Trashap is available for Android and iOS smartphones. It is 100% free and can be downloaded in the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store by searching for ‘Trashap’.
